Come see me in Some Are More Human! A scifi multimedia play going up as part of the NYC Fringe festival next month. Here are the details: WHAT IT IS: The production is being billed as a sci-fi double feature. Its essentially two standalone, one-act plays back-to-back. The plays feature different characters and completely separate storylines, but both stories exist within the same fictional world. They take place in the 1980s, but in an alternate time-line. A dystopian reality in which hydro-fusion is a 50 year-old technology, androids live and work amongst humans, Earth is still reeling from its recent war with Mars, and North America is covered in a fallout cloud from the war that wont allow sunlight through for decades. Think of the 1980s as envisioned by scifi writers of the first half of the twentieth century. The total run time is 1hr 40mins. If youre a fan of things like Bladerunner, The Twilight Zone, Sci-fi in general, and of course live theatre, this might be right up your alley!
