Comedy is about truth - and this SNL sketch is based in fallacy, so its neither hilarious or informative. Knowing the appalling ignorance of the American people - especially when it comes to civics, it was completely irresponsible for SNL to perpetuate the misinformation displayed in this sketch. NO, SNL... the President isnt stopping Congress from passing a bill. Executive Orders dont take the place of legislation or prevent Congress from doing their job. The President is passing Executive Orders as his predecessors have before him - in the face of the appalling and record setting unproductively of this DO-NOTHING-REPUBLICAN CONGRESS that makes the do-nothing Republican Congress of Harry Trumans day practically prolific. Dont like Executive Orders? ALL the DO-NOTHING-REPUBLICAN CONGRESS has to do is PASS A BILL - like the Immigration Bill John Boner has been sitting on for over a year and a half despite it passing the Senate with overwhelming support. Shame on SNL for spreading stupidity. We get enough from Faux News.
