How many sugars?She asked Jane who was lost in mind and didnt even hear her this is heaven on earth! Whatelse can a girl ask for?Jane dreamily said. I said how many sugars?Repeated Hellen holding the basin sugar with her left hand whilst the other hand held out a small teaspoon ready ready to scoop the sugar. I cant believe my dream has come true! I can only imagine myself walking on that villa which is expensively furnished and overlooking the sea Jane was still in her imaginary world. She couldnt hide her happiness. Seeing this ignorance Hellen angrily put down the basin and picked the two coffees joined her flatmate and set the cups on the coffee table. She continued to sip her coffee silently and still amazed at what Jane had said. I should have fallen pregnant for him ages, then I wouldnt have to worry about paying bills waking up early and going to a boring job,she daydreamed unwittingly. Pregnant?Hellen opened her eyes wide and looked at her intently.Did I hear the word pregnant?She asked again. Suddenly Jane came to her senses,no no what am I saying? I wanted to say er er- she didnt finish her sentence, for she stood up recklessley picked the cup of cup of coffee which spilled its contents on the coffee table.Oh God what am I doing? Handtowel I need a handtowel!She rushed to the kitchen and came with a dishcloth and started cleaning the mess Hellen just looked at her and sipped her coffee silently and calmly said,I smell a ratshe tried to digest what Jane had said and something wasnt adding up judging by her actions. Yesterda Jane had told her Jullian had broken up with her and now she was telling her he had asked her to move in with him. Two different stories! Surely Jane was up to something! Jane finished cleaning up and sat on the couch opposite Hellen who was as calm as a sea slowly empting the contents in her cup into her stomach. So when are you two moving in together?Asked Hellen igoring the pregancy part of the story. Im not quite sure yet but very soon and that means you will have to look for someone to help you pay the billsJane proudly answered Good for you! Honestly Im happy for you and I wish you can open your eyes and smell the coffeHellen warned Jane picked her cup and started drinking the remaining coffe,oh my gosh! Black and bitter!She remarked. I asked you how many sugars but you were so busy in Jullians villa to answer merebuked Hellen in a warning voice. Oh girl I cant drink thisJane stood up went to the bathroom freshened up her make up and came out as freshely as a new plucked rose. She proceeded to her bedroom and came out carrying her purse. And now where are you heading?Hellen asked her To greener pastures where I can at least drink thick sweet cappaccino!Jane laughingly said heading for the door. And she went out then popped her head back and spat,lock up if Im late and dont worry about my supper! She slammed door and was gone. Some things never changeHellen shook her head and reached for the remote , switched on the television and watched her favourite show on air... **Coming soon.
