Kick the mud off your cowboy boots and pair them with your favorite formal dress (and maybe a cowboy hat!) for the Denim & Diamonds Mother and Son Ball, one of Fort Benning MWR’s signature events, from 6:30-9:30pm February 20 at the Benning Club’s Supper Club. Tickets will go on sale Jan. 12 at Tickets & Travel in the Commissary Mall, $40 per couple and $20 for each additional child. As space is limited, tickets sell out very quickly. Please plan accordingly. This formal event includes dinner, a candy bar, photographs, entertainment and dancing. Recommended for boys between the age of 3 and 18, but all ages are welcome, and all ages will enjoy it. We do not have age restrictions. We will share more information as it becomes available. Train now for the Fort Benning Adventure Race at Uchee Creek Feb. 28, because those holiday cookies will throw a wrench in your fitness regimen. This five-hour event, part of the annual Fort Benning Race Series, starts at 9am and includes mountain biking, trekking, paddling and mystery events.
