Commander Jeffrey Coleman Executive Office U.S.S. Destiny Born 2231 Age 37 Father Admiral Adolfus Coleman( Ret.) Mother Dr. Dana Campbell Director of Biologic Diversity Studies at The Daystrom Institute Sister Captain Alicin Coleman commanding Starship Atlanta Brother Commander Royce Coleman Executive Officer U.S.S Potemkin Attended the prestigious Zephram Cochran Junior Academy at age 14. Graduated top of his class with Honors. Placed amoung the top 10% of applicants for Command Training. Awarded the highly coveted Chancellor’s Award three of his four years at Star Fleet Academy. Transfereed to Distant Studies Program at Alpha Centauri for final year. Graduated 3rd in his class. In 2254 was assigned to U.S.S. Kongo under Captain Kosnett. He quickly worked his way to bridge crew, Alpha shift. After three years Kosnett recommended Coleman for assignment to Andoria for Cultural Immersion studies under Commodore B’Mrek and his Andorian staff. Coleman served there for two years. In 2256 he returned to Star Fleet Academy to teach for two semesters as part of his obligation to the Immersian program. In 2257 Coleman was promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to U.S.S. Galveston under Captain Victoria Carpov as chief Navagator. He searved there for four years. In 2261 Coleman transferred to Starbase 1 under command of Vice Admiral Allen Rockford. He rose quickly to Chief Of Staff. He was promoted to Lt. Commander two years later. Coleman served there until 2263. In 2263 Coleman was promoted to Commander. At this time he was recruited in to the Command Rotation Program under Admiral Richard Clark. Under this program, each participant would serve as Executive Officer for a number of ships for over a five year period. This program was intended to expose the the officer to a variety of command styles and experience. He served on the U.S.S. Excalibur under Captain Tvrik Ajekodages for one year. He returned to the Enterprise for one year under Captain Chris Pike. Coleman served with Captain Tracy aboard the U.S.S. Exeter for one year. Finally, in late 2265, he was assigned to the U.S.S. Hood under Captain Thomas Hagood for his final six months in the program. Coleman is the only officer at the end of the program that does not receive a promotion to Captain and an assignment to a starship. In January of 2267Coleman is assigned to be a temporary replacement for the ailing Executive Officer Kelly Boston aboard U.S.S. Destiny. Coleman officially replaces Boston following her death seven months later. In 2268 Destiny receives news that it us to be removed from active duty and reassigned to Admiral Masao Okazaki. Captain Charles Hartlass citing extreme age steps down as Captain and announces his retirement. He recommends Coleman take on Destinys command duties during her transfer to the Museum Fleet. Fleet Command accepts this recommendation and grants Coleman temporary captaincy.
