Notes will be available to participants. Participants should be members of this group with knowledge of basic AP processes and an interest in operating a successful and sustainable AP operation. After almost three years, we have gathered a wealth of information on what it takes to run a successful Commercial Aquaponics (AP) enterprise. We have seen at lease a dozen promising start ups launch only to watch them falter and then fail after a year or two. The commercial success model is the Hydroponics, (HP) growers with their 100K sq.ft greenhouses, automated environmental controls, and big box store customer. Why do we want commercial AP? What do we believe it takes to operate a sustainable AP farm? How does one create a successful business model to assure long term economic viability?
