Commissioner Vacancy Notice~ The City Commission is accepting Letters of Interest to Become a Buchanan City Commissioner Candidate, Citizen Volunteer Form and a Citizen Questionnaire Form for a vacated City Commissioner term through the November Election 2014. You may call or stop by City Hall to obtain the volunteer form and questionnaire form. City Hall is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and the telephone number is 269-695-3844 ext. 17. Interested persons shall submit the Letter of Interest to become a Buchanan City Commissioner Candidate, Citizen Volunteer Form and Citizen Questionnaire Form no later than 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2014 to the Buchanan City Clerk, 302 N. Redbud Trail, Buchanan, MI. 49107. A candidate shall meet all Charter requirements including being a City resident and registered voter in the City of Buchanan to be considered for appointment to the position of City Commissioner. Any Letter of Interest to Become a Candidate, Volunteer Form and Questionnaire Form received after the deadline may not be considered. It is the intent of the City Commission to listen to the Candidate(s) philosophy for the City of Buchanan, ask questions and appoint a member at the regular City Commission Meeting, Monday March 24, 7:00 p.m. located at City Hall, so your attendance is required to said meeting.
