Sunday reflections Gotta be honest. I fell in love with the Catholic faith in 2009 - my personal relationship with God was being worked on like crazy and I started shifting a lot of my life habits based on what I learned would supplement my relationship with Christ and His church. Since this reawakening I sought to share the Good News of how Christ had given me new hope and how we can all share in the same in my lifestyle and especially in my music. As Ive matured and grown, Ive also struggled and fallen. I still wrestle with things here and there but the important part is God has given me the grace to not give up even in my lowest. When I share my music with you all its not to convince you to believe what I believe but to give you an insight into an authentic perspective of a 23 year old male struggling to maintain the path that God has granted him. Im not thinking, as I write a song, of how to sound more of this or less of that, or how to sound like a Catholic or how to sound like a rapper. Im really just trying to be a creative with the music I put out and be authentic with the life I live. Its not a gimmick - so Im not pushing myself as a religious leader but as a normal everyday guy who happens to love making music. Im not concerned with the labels people give it, but I pray it serves its purpose whether grand or small. So thank you for being a part of this journey with me - believe when I say Im not a huge fan of a lot of the music and culture weve been fed, and frankly most of us in the church havent done a good job at presenting an authentic and creative alternative. My hope is to continue growing as an artist and use my talents to glorify God and inspire others to do the same with their talents. Thanks for listening.
