Communication Through Films: The way we communicate has changed - TopicsExpress

Communication Through Films: The way we communicate has changed throughout our country (Liberia) history. In the late 1980s in Liberia, in order for our dictatorial leader to understand our frustrations we picked up arms and rebelled against the corrupt government. Today in our society, Newspapers, magazines, T.V., radio, and most recently the internet (Facebook, Twitter, Google + Youtube) all are very popular means of communication. Fans of Liberian movies want you to use the power of Film-making to convey messages and teach lessons to a Liberian generation that would rather watch a movie than read a book. In some African films, violence or a love story is one theme many artists/writers/directors use to get their point across, and/or teach us a humane lesson so that this generation can learn from past mistakes. In a democratic and civil Liberian society, communication should be the means by which individuals create their unique Liberian identity, interact with the outside world, and learn to interpret the world around them. #It starts with you! #Help us share this DREAM!
