Community Grants...All 14 Area Action Partnerships (AAPs) across County Durham are providing an opportunity for local groups and organisations to apply for a community grant. Each AAP area is slightly different but most grants are between £1,000 and £5,000 and are available to projects that address local priorities. Decisions on grants will be made through a Participatory Budgeting (PB). Those projects which meet the grant criteria will have to attend their local AAP Forum event which will be taking place sometime in October/November 2013 to display their project information. Applicants will be expected to promote the event so as many people as possible can vote for their favourite projects. The projects that receive the most votes will receive a share of the funds we have available.
