Community rejects turbine proposal Community members attending a special consultation meeting at Loans Village Hall last night voted against the proposal to erect a 33m high wind turbine at Collenan Farm. The Community Council called the meeting at short notice as a decision on the planning application is imminent. Councillors explained that a holding objection to the proposal had been lodged already on behalf of the community before the deadline expired. But they wanted to consult the people affected before deciding whether the objection should stand or be withdrawn. After debate, a vote was taken, with 19 of the 25 attending agreeing to support the Community Council objection to the planning application.
