Completely different subject then pigs but it does involve taking in rescues that I could not leave conditions they are in, so here are my 2 rescue stories: On 8/30 I took in 2 ferrets (Bonnie & Clyde) they came from a home who did not really know anything about them other then that they were less then a year old, Bonnie & Clyde were not skin & bones but still a lot skinnier then they should of been. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On 9/6 I drop 4+ hour round trip to pick up 3 ferrets from someone who was going to place them in a shelter of no one took them, the thing that I thought was weird about the whole thing was that with all the people commenting on their post & everything saying they wanted them & so on no one took them. So I messaged back & forth with the owner for a week straight & they did not give ages or anything else for information about the ferrets not even pics. So me being me & running a ferret rescue years ago I felt something was not right so I followed through & wow was I shocked to see the condition they were in they were racks of bones & losing their hair & they smelled really bad, I know ferrets have a smell to then but it was horrid how bad they smelt. Both Dixie & Binx have adrenal disease which is common in ferrets unfortunately. All 5 ferrets are pitting weight on more so Bonnie & Clyde then the other 3 but they are doing better then they were. Now with all being said I am setting up a ferret fund that I can save up & get them this cage with the add on unit all together costing $314.98 drsfostersmith/product/prod_display.cfm?c=6067+28200+17473&pcatid=17473 I am not asking for anything from anyone but if someone would like to donate to Bonnie, Clyde, Pixie, Dixie & Binxs buy a new cage fund it can be sent to paypal the email is curlypigs@gmail
