An exciting opportunity exists for a position of a Compliance Officer & Company Secretary of the transforming fund which is based in Johannesburg Areas of responsibility Serve as the Secretary to all the Board of Trustee Meetings including Committees of the Board Providing the Board of Trustees with guidance as to their duties, responsibilities and powers; Ensuring that the Trustees are aware of all laws and legislation relevant to the Fund and reporting at meetings where these laws have not been complied with; Ensuring that the minutes of the Trustees’ meetings, Members’ meetings and other meetings are correctly recorded Custodian of Fund Corporate Records Development and implementation of effective Compliance Program, including adoption and following periodical review of Compliance Policies and Procedures. Respond to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and standards of conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures Provide legal and compliance support and guidance to the management team. Liaise with Council for Medical Schemes Undertake all other duties as reasonably required by this role Human resources management for the team that reports to this role Requirements LLB or B(Proc)/ B Iuris or similar professional qualification At least 4 years experience at senior management level Strategic thinking , leadership and monitoring skills Self starter and independence Please send your CV’s to [email protected] .Closing date is 12 July 2013.
