Comrade Liberians; The Intellectual Revolutionary Council of Liberia for Transformation, has come again with another critical justifiable reasons to support the resignation of this constitutional back-pass President (Sirleaf) in the next 90 days. The uncomfortable behaviour of this German back-pass President to Liberia who corrupted the 2005 presidential election and won by acclamation in 2011 has drawn our attentions as conscious nationalists. The current state of affairs in our country is very troubling and despicably disheartening because we have seen the return of social injustices and rampant corruption. On other hand, gangster lieutenant generals in the Liberian government continue to embezzle state resources and go with impunity while million of Liberians languish in abject poverty in various slums. Apparently, Madam Sirleaf short-sighted government lacks a clear-cut vision to resuscitate the economic life of Liberians. Most frustratingly, she has deliberately refused to prosecute her friends and relatives who continued to embezzle state funds but rather running after journalists who write stories on corruption about her colleague corrupters. And worst of all, we have repeatedly requested her attention on these matters in a democratic spirit but her office has arrogantly ignored our concerns as legitimate nationalists. Her recent behaviour indicates that there’s nothing wrong with nepotism, rampant corruption and other form of social injustices. Moreover, she continues to give Liberians bogus reasons to justify or “reasonify” why her children, friends and relatives should be placed in strategy governmental positions, thus redefining nepotism and corruption to suit her monarchic-trusteeship-imperialistic-presidency. But My comrades and I will walk through the gates of prisons to confront and windup this destructive "sirleaftocratic" government. Comrades, according to the European Union, more than 17.5 Billion Dollars has been expanded in Liberia. The questions are; Where did it go? Does this government have a breakdown of this 17.5 Billion Dollars as to how it was used? She can’t justify to Liberians that it went to road projects because we could have built 14 highways around the country, water and electric plants, modern international airports, stimulate the economy, and still have plenty left to expand on higher education. So, how these funds were used? Regardless of how much money the world has contributed to the development of Liberia, our economy remains motionless. More than 17.5 Billion Dollars has been dumped into a country that barely has 3.6 million people. When she was about to be questioned by the EU, she smartly authorized one of your colleagues in her government to disseminate misleading and erroneous unemployment information in which he quoted that the unemployment rate has dropped from 80% to less than 10% during her seven years rule. From these observations; this Madam has no desire to curb the unhealthy vices that she created by orchestrating war. The Liberian civil war that destroyed our country was through her instrumentality as chief architect; this is what we call annihilation. Now, her current action toward disenfranchised Liberians wants to recreate another chaotic atmosphere in Liberia. Therefore, in our quest to seek justice and peace, we maintain authoritatively, that Madam Sirleaf should honourably resign as president under these circumstances because we see her resignation as the only way to keep Liberia peaceful until the next general and presidential elections. Liberians are becoming increasingly unhappy about her blatant disregard for our country and its constitution and the longer she stays in power the more angry our people will become and this might lead to a reversal of peace and progress in Liberia. To make a minute conclusion; Madam Sirleaf appointing her children to strategy positions in government is a total violation of our Constitution (Article 5c). It is also, a violation to the oath she took as President to support, uphold and defend the Constitution of the Republic of Liberia and its people. Therefore, she has no right to violate the Constitution of this republic. Comrades, in a country of conscious men and women, should any president violate our constitution and go free? The answer to this question is a resounding no. A violation of the Constitution of Liberia by any President is an impeachable offense. No president has the right to disrespect the Constitution of our republic. No President has the right to break the law and still expect to enjoy the respect and trust of the people under the authority of the same constitution, no way. Our country operates a system of government by the people, of the people and for the people based upon the rule of law. It is not a monarchy where the king or emperor’s wills prevail. Never again in Liberia should we allow any President to govern Liberia like a monarch. Moreover, her statement, “I will not fire my sons” as reported in the New Democrat Newspaper is a clearly violation of our constitution. This statement has subordinated the interest of the Liberian people to the interest of Madam Sirleaf’s children. She has made a clear choice in favour of her family over the Liberian people. Madam Sirleaf has no liberty to place her family interest above the interest of Liberia therefore; she must resign and face justice. Watch out for next edition.
