The Effort Will Raise Awareness on Education Issues Important to the Latino Community Washington, D.C. — Today, LULAC and Univision will raise awareness on the importance of college readiness with the launch of Acción por la Educación! The effort will be focused on helping parents understand the critical role that the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) plays in ensuring students are well prepared for college upon high school graduation. “By partnering with Univision, we’re able to expand our reach to the Latino community and inform more parents about the importance of CCSS,” said LULAC National President Margaret Moran.
