Concerned about the NSAs unconstitutional spying programs? - TopicsExpress

Concerned about the NSAs unconstitutional spying programs? There is good news on the horizon. Last Tuesday, a bipartisan coalition of House members including Reps. Justin Amash, John Conyers, and Jim Sensenbrenner introduced the USA Freedom Act, H.R. 3361, which would reform parts of the USA Patriot Act to bar the federal government from collecting Americans telephone records and internet activity without a proper warrant. The current count is 86 cosponsors, only three of which are Congressional members of Georgia. Rep. Graves, Tom [R-GA-14] Rep. Lewis, John [D-GA-5] Rep. Johnson, Henry C. Hank, Jr. [D-GA-4] We should contact our Individual Congressional District Representatives and ask them why they have not added their name to the list. A comparable version of the USA Freedom Act has been introduced by Patrick Leahy in the Senate. The bill has 16 cosponsors in the Senate. Senators John Hardy Isakson and Saxby Chambliss have not added there support to this bill and I intend on finding out why.
