Concerning the suicidal rates in Sf/bay area, can anyone tell me why we cant do things like this? Is it $$ or some magically complicated logical issue I cant see? School me. Surely a few tech companies would want to help pay for these types of remedies, since a ton of people are kindaaa hating on the industry at large for jacking up the rents and stuffing the social shirt back into its ill fitting social pants with all of the unnecessary pockets filled with change and bison jerky - this is a weird social shift Ill call HeteroNorma Jean, just to give this morphing thing a name. -Place automatic sliding doors along the sideline of Caltrain/Bart stops, like they do in Japan and for the monorail between the airport and Oakland station. -Raise the railing along the Golden Gate Bridge. You can line it with glass or pretty columns with life-affirming poetry or whatever so people can still see the bay and get their touristy wow sighs on, but after thousands of suicides, why is this even still a thing. -Play Weird AL at every train stop. Im not sure why specifically, but he makes people want to keep hanging out. (Kidding, but whatever. Im probably a little bit right in some abstract way.) Listen Heteronorma Jean, please hlp. (Not clear why I am committed to calling it that, but wow it rolls off the tongue like curse words in traffic.)
