Conference in Ohio Dear Friends and Intercessors, Just a few days to go before leaving for Ohio, USA, to partake in a conference together with men of caliber. The subject for the gathering: “Israel, the Church and the last days”. The arrangement holds ten lessons, also including time for conferring and prayer. When we return, an extensive project lies awaiting – two books to be written. At the very outset, I saw one book – “Israel and the Church. One final sifting”. The stacks of material have expanded drastically, insights have deepened – I need to share my findings first in a general item and then move on to a developing of a couple of aspects directly linked to the end time scenario. The real burden on my heart is that it is nearly impossible to find any substantial writing in the huge stacks of books pretending to show sympathy for Israel as a significant sign announcing the final days and the coming of the Lord. The New Covenant, as it is displayed in the prophetic writings, especially with Jeremiah and Ezekiel, is hardly ever regarded as having any bearings on the Jewish issue of our days, the restoring of Israel and the returning of the Redeemer to establish His throne in Zion. This covenant, settled in Jesus Christ, creates and settles radical consequences for the Church – its role and expressions, and for the Jews, Israel and the neighbouring nations in the Middle East. Three men travel together with me from Sweden, to sit down and to take part in the talks together with a living end time encyclopedia, with men of Jewish descent and also with men who have read my texts during many years – without my direct knowledge. Our burning faith brings us together, our eschatological perspective yearns for practical expressions. We ask for your prayer cover for the conference in all its aspects.
