Confession. And I fear its an awful one. I think (although Im not entirely sure) I have turned into a vinyl snob!?! Ive always prided myself on the ability to understand and tolerate the musical tastes of others...I mean, I totally get that others might dig something that just doesnt move me in the same way, so I dont judge. Or at least I didnt think I did! Heres the story: While on a dig this weekend with my husband, another couple approx our age came in and were hunting through the $1.00 bins next to us. We were ecstatic to have found Floyds Meddle and a couple of Stones albums in great shape when the guy yells out, Oh man, awesome! His wife comes running over and he says, Score, the Village People! Im ok thus far, and think, wow that dude really loves the Village People. Then he says, A classic! At which point I try to suppress a giggle, but Im thinking, to each his own. Minutes later he yells out again, Urban Cowboy! Another classic! And then it happened. I actually looked at my husband, smirked and rolled my eyes, and muttered to him, Classics. Seriously? And there you have it. You tell me, did I cross the threshold of music lover to insufferable music snob or not?
