Confession.... Earlier, I noticed that two women who Id once looked up to had deleted me, and I was disgusted because I LOVE to see women celebrating each other. I was so disgusted that I wrote a status (and then deleted it) about having always found that I was only deleted by other black women in business and ministry. I realize that the reason I reacted was because again, these were two women I respected and celebrated. I took the status down because I realized that I was reacting, rather than truly addressing the issue thats found in many sister to sister relationships. I realized that I was talking but I wasnt doing anything about what we, as a race, and the whole world can see: We still have a LONG way to go. So Im committing to do my part and celebrate as many women as I can. I am going to create networks for women, and I am going to do my part in unifying women as a whole. Im telling you, woman of GOD, that I love you, and please know this: 1. I dont have to always like your statuses. As a matter of fact, I may miss quite a few of them, but its not intentional. Im just trying to fit a ton of Kingdom work into a days time. 2. I dont have to join or link up to your ministry to appreciate you. If GOD didnt tell me to connect with you, I wont, but Im still celebrating you and interceding for you. 3. I reserve the right to say no to you. I cant tell you how many times I was deleted just because I declined an offer. Please know that I pray about every thing and everybody, and I never agree to anything unless GOD tells me otherwise. 4. Sorry, I cant play the minion role. I am a leader and I am content with who I am. All of my friends and associates are respectful women who dont try to control me, and I dont try to control them. 5. I dont do the whole clique thing because GOD is a GOD of unity.....He divides the good from the evil, but HE does NOT divide the church....the devil does that. 6. I will love you despite what you feel or say about me, so when you are trying to tear me down, Ill be over here lifting you up in prayer. 7. I dont need your permission or approval to be who I am. 8. Every woman in ministry who doesnt agree with you is not a witch, Jezebel or Delilah. Some sisters just have their own minds, you know? Today, sisters, I challenge you to celebrate another sister. Do this until it becomes a habit.
