My wife, my kids, and only a few close friends are aware of some of the things that pull me into the presence of pure terror. I believe that some roller coasters do to me spiritually, what other things do to me emotionally, mentally! I went with Jamie Hayes Winner today, on her doctor visit. She bears the burdens her dad deals with, and those her husband deals with also. I listened carefully as our doctor laid out the reality of Jamies foot. She spelled out clearly the condition of Jamies foot. Then she emphasized: this is the kind of damage we see only in a case of severe diabetes, and we end up eventually removing the foot to save the patients life. I know what this revelation is doing to me, and it is painful, to be sure. But Jamie, the Trooper, hides so much of her emotion. Once again, the Winners sure could use prayers.
