*Confessions Of A Church Musician With An Autoimmune Disease* Doc... I gotta get this off my chest. So, recently, my steroids were doubled and, I was placed on a myriad of other meds pertaining to my heart and, otherwise. Top it with, my being on drums with the shin issue that, has also caused an achilles problem, as well as, issues in the knee of that leg. So, with the massive steroids and congestive heart failure issue, I get overheated FAST. On the leg issue, I sometimes have an ankle brace, shin Aced and, a knee brace, simultaneously. Last week, due to ALL of this, I had on a pair of black shorts and, a designer t-shirt for service as, I couldnt get pants over all the braces and, I was pouring in sweat for hours BEFORE service, along with, the steroids put me at a place where I cant get into the dress shirts, from time to time. So, PLEASE tell me WHY, one of the saints at the church I play for, has decided, they are FAR more bothered by my not having on a shirt and tie than, whats going with me? As well, I thought the WORD says that, if there is a problem, you go to that person STRAIGHTWAY and get it together. But, that doesnt happen. But, even more importantly than THAT, how many niggas about to bust hell wide open in a shirt, tie and DOPE suit, tho? Dont worry, Ill wait. It aint the suit. It aint the tie. It aint the shirt. Because, if it WAS, this person would have come to ME like the Word says. So, since YOUR shirt and tie didnt make YOU act right, what are we discussing? Exactly. Ill be waiting for that scripture that says a shirt and tie died for my sins and, thats the way to see the Kingdom of Heaven..... Yall KNOW I wanna cuss about it, right? But, Imma sip this Mountain Dew. My dedication of 13 years to a church I dont belong to, should have shut that mouth. 13 years and, you cant count on 1 hand how many Sundays Ive missed. Sick, car issues, family issues, otherwise. Ive driven overnight on a Saturday from places like Alabama, just to NOT leave this church hanging. Miss me with all of that.
