Confirmed meeting timings and locations as follows: Thursday 27 Nov 14 (Tomorrow) 2D12 from 12pm-7pm Thursdays session will start at 12pm and go until 3pm, there will be an hour long break for supper, then we will start up at 4pm again, and go until 7pm. I will remain at school until 9:30pm if anyone would like to work further. I am hoping to cover lectures 2-12 minimum this day, however, I would hope that further slides can be e-mailed to me at jana_oo4@hotmail if they are ready so that we may work further if we have a chance. This is the longest day so that if people who cannot make earlier timings can come in later. Let me know where you stand on these timings. 2D12 is in the Duckworth Centre (by the gym) for those who havent been. Friday 28 Nov 14, 2C06 from 4pm-7pm I was only able to book the room for this time as I will only be able to get into school for 3:30pm. Feel free to contact Lindsay in IC15, or at 988-7109 if you feel that you need more time during the day. If you do book an extra room, ensure it has a projector, and a computer that you can gain access to on a student login. Furthermore, be nice and post it in this group so others can join. Tuesday 2 Dec 14, Library West study room from 12pm-4pm. Wednesday 3 Dec 14, TBA Let me know what timings you all can make. This is the day before the exam, it is my hopes that on this day we can concentrate heavily on the last 2/3 course review. Focusing heavily perhaps on the subjects that depend heavily on pure memorization. Such as the different categories of bacteria and archaea, in terms of their organization, and specific traits. This is a lot of raw memorization, and as such I predict that it will require more pure wrote memory and benefit the most from group questions, and answers. For those attending, please anticipate that technology will fail us. I would ask that we all bring our power point slides on our personal labtops if you have one. A saved version on a flash drive. E-mail a version to yourself. And most importantly, bring connector cables/HDMI cables to attach your labtop (Mac or PC) to the computer/projector. In my experience, if it can go wrong, it will go wrong, and I dont want to waste anyones time fiddling with tech only to find it doesnt work. I will be the first to admit that I dont have an HDMI cable to attach my computer to the projector. I have been told that there are suppose to be some in the room, however, experience tells me that that is almost never the case. If as many of us as possible come prepared, we should be able to have this run smoothly. Looking forward to tomorrow. Ill be at school pretty much all day after 9am. Let me know how things are going on your end.
