Confusion: Having found out recently that my best ferro rod scrapers are made of stainless steel, where does the notion that high carbon steel is better for scraping a ferro rod when one of the reasons that make stainless steel less preferable than high carbon is that it is much harder than carbon? Isnt that quality of hardness the better quality when it comes to scraping material from a ferro rod?
