Confusion Rocks Sinoe County Caucus It has been gathered that confusion has engulfed the Sinoe County Legislative Caucus over the removal of Senator Mabutu Vlah Nyenpan, who is the currently embattled Chairman. According to inside sources, Senator Joseph Nagbe, who recently resigned his post as Co-Chairman of the Sinoe Legislative Caucus, is one of the legislators demanding the resignation of Senator Nyenpan ahead of the 2014 special Senatorial elections. The source said Senator Nyenpan wants to stay on as Chairman of the Caucus until the 2014 elections. But Senator Nagbe and Representatives Matthew Zarzar, Jeremiah Marculay and Jefferson Karmo are concerned about the long stay of Senator Nyenpan as the Caucus Chairman. It has been mentioned that members of the Caucus are demanding a neutral lawmaker, who is not supporting any senatorial aspirant for the pending elections to be held October 16, 2014 in Sinoe County and Liberia at large. It is said that members of the Sinoe Caucus are demanding the resignation of Senator Nyenpan and subsequent elections prior to the 2014 Special Senatorial elections. When contacted via mobile phone, Senator Nagbe did not confirm nor deny his resignation as Co-Chairman of the Sinoe Legislative Caucus. According to him, he is ‘viewing’ his resignation as Co-Chairman of Sinoe Legislative Caucus, but admitted that there are mounting calls for the resignation of Senator Nyenpan as Chairman of the County Caucus. It the past, Senator Nagbe frowned on the incarceration of Superintendent J. Milton Teahjay, linked to be interested in the Senatorial post, for reportedly disrespecting Representative Zarzar. According to him, the Kru people of Sinoe County were annoyed with the complaint filed by a Sarpo lawmaker (Zarzar) against their son, Superintendent Teahjay. The Senator claimed that the imprisonment of Superintendent Teahjay had the ability to bring tribal conflict in the county. Senator Nagbe also claimed that the bitter exchanges between the two Sinoe senior citizens was unfair to be brought to the public, but demanded close door discussion to resolve the matter.
