The congress party also convened an emergency meeting of prominent leaders and office bearers of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee here at Congress Party Headquarters in Srinagar to discuss the current political developments. The meeting was presided over by Gulam Nabi Monga (MLC) Vice President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee. Speaking on the occasion Congress leaders strongly condemned the indecent and abusive utterances of Additional General Secretary of National Conference, Dr. Mustafa Kamal against its senior leader and demanded an apology for NC. They said Congress Ministers will be asked to stay away from the cabinet meeting until apology is offered by Dr. Mustafa Kamal for his utterances. The congress leaders said it has become a habit of Dr. Mustafa Kamal to accuse Congress Party leadership for no reasons; it seems that he doesn’t want Coalition to run smoothly. They said Dr. Mustafa Kamal should know that they are in power because of the Congress Party and Kamal should go for self introspection instead of accusing Congress leadership. Congress is a Secular party having history of more than 125 years, it is people’s party. Criticizing the Kamal for his weightless statement against Congress President Prof. Saifudddin Soz, they said Prof. Soz doesn’t need certificate from any person or persons, as Prof. Soz is a world famous leader and people of the State and country are well aware about the character and honesty of Prof. Soz Saheb. Congress Party demands apology from National Conference and also demand that Mustafa Kamal should be expelled from the National Conference as he is a big threat to Coalition Government.(JKNI)
