Congrats to 8th Graders Regan Hayworth, Nicole Merrill, Emily Nelson, and Juliet Roy for winning the Jr. High State Elite Tennis Championships!!! Emily Nelson won 3rd place at #2 Singles - beating a great opponent from Edmond Sequoyah (who prior to facing Emily had only lost one match all year). #1 Doubles team Nicole Merrill and Juliet Roy placed 2nd behind a tough team from Edmond North – this was their only loss all year! Regan Hayworth and her #2 doubles partner, 9th grader Olivia Liedel, won the State Title beating Edmond North in the final – after Regan woke up yesterday morning with a fever! These young ladies have given so much of their time and energy into our tennis program and they deserve all the credit for an amazing season! FYI: this is the first girls tennis State Championship for Union! Thank you to all of their teachers for supporting them in class this year!
