Congrats to young Kariuki for winning Mathare Parliamentary seat. As I said yesterday Mathare has a very rich history in Kenya having been held by the likes of Dr Josphat Karanja, Dr Munyua Waiyaki and others. Apparently non of them including Kariuki lived or live there. I wont spend any other time on it but let me make the political comment it deserves. We have all been told that Cord comprises of 40 tribes and Jubilee is only two tribes. We have heard that over and over again to a point of accepting. Now if the 40 tribes of Cord gave Kariuki 14,900 votes and the 2 tribes of Jubilee gave Wanjohi 14,200 I leave you to make a conclusion that is fair to yourself and one that is equivalent to your IQ.
