Congratulations Graduates! Each May, University of Papua New - TopicsExpress

Congratulations Graduates! Each May, University of Papua New Guinea confers honorary, graduate, medical, and undergraduate degrees on the 25th Graduation day tomorrow, the culmination of a campus-wide weekend celebration. It is a time of great ceremony, pageantry, and rejoicing, much of it representing traditions that are centuries old. This years activities will also be part of the Universitys ongoing celebration of 2015 Pacific Game housed at UPNG, so there will be even more reasons to celebrate! Alumni are an integral part of this celebration. Prominent in the procession are the President and members of the Corporation, the Universitys governing body, who are joined by faculty, graduating students of all levels, and alumni. The University Ceremony, held on the College Drill Hall-Siki Base (from morning till afternoon....2 segments) on the 11th of April, 2014, includes representatives of all degree recipients and is open to families and the general public. Honorary degrees are conferred at this ceremony. Individual diplomas are distributed at the Graduate School Ceremony and the UPNG Medical School, both held before the University Graduation Ceremony, and, for undergraduates, at departmental diploma ceremonies following the University’s 24th???? Graduation Ceremony. This is your time and it feels normal to you but really there is no normal. Theres only change, and resistance to it and then more change. ...youll find out that nothing that comes easy is worth a dime. As a matter of fact, I never saw a football player make a tackle with a smile on his face. Never. In football we always said that the other team couldnt beat us. We had to be sure that we didnt beat ourselves. And thats what people have to do too -- make sure they dont beat themselves. It doesnt matter that your dream came true if you spent your whole life sleeping. So get out there and go for it, but dont be caught waiting. Its great to plan for your future. Just dont live there, because really nothing ever happens in the future. Whatever happens happens now, so live your life where the action is — now. Celebrate your day tomorrow when you get your bamboos. They day you have been tirelessly studying to see baring fruit. You are following the foot steps set by our elites now. Its your day tomorrow. Say its me time man! Congratulation UPNG Graduates for 2014.
