You are the first journalist to talk about "what to do next" Punishing Mr Assad, even if it would be moral lesson, will not solve the problem Now , in my opinion the only solution is to split the country in some 5 or 6 regions, one per tribe, determine the frontiers , and let them live in peace within each tribe. Perhaps some kind o supra tribe accords for external reasons. These people hate each other so much to live in an unified country. I have just been to Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia I Herzegovina and Macedonia. Now these countries are prospering separately and peace has arrived. And a few years ago was worst than Syria.
