“Congratulations! Your work … has been selected to hang in the executive offices at the State Capitol as part of the “Art of Georgia” exhibit. Close to 100 entries were accepted from artists throughout the northwest Georgia region, and your work stood out as an exceptional representation of contemporary Georgia art work. “ That’s the wonderful news two Sharptop members received from Governor Deal’s office this week. Jennie Stackpole and Carol Massey both had art accepted to hang in the Capitol from August 8 to January 15. Join us in congratulating these fine artists (Jennie is sharing her mosaic glass making skills at the July 26th brunch) on their accomplishment. They will meet the governor at a presentation in August and have their pictures taken. We have many talented members and hope all of you will share your special recognitions with us, too.
