Thick As A Brick Written by Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull Really dont mind if you sit this one out (Mitt Romney) My words but a whisper, your deafness a shout (Ron Paul) I may make you feel but I cant make you think (Rick Santorum) Your sperms in the gutter, your loves in the sink (Newt Gingrich) So you ride yourselves over the fields (Glenn Beck) And you make all your animal deals (Rush Limbaugh) And your wise men dont know how it feels (Keith Olbermann) To be thick as a brick (Bill O’Reilly) And the sand castle virtues are all swept away (Michelle Bachmann) In the tidal destruction, the moral melee (Hermann Caine) The elastic retreat rings the close of play (Occupy Wall Street) As the last wave uncovers the newfangled way (Women’s Rights) But your new shoes are worn at the heels (Eric Cantor) And your suntan does rapidly peel (John Boehner) And your wise men dont know how it feels (Dennis Miller) To be thick as a brick (Sean Hannity) And the love that I feel is so far away (Barack Obama) Im a bad dream that I just had today (John McCain) And you shake your head (Tea Partiers) And say that its a shame (Those denying race hatred) Spin me back down the years and the days of my youth (John & Bobby Kennedy) Draw the lace and black curtains and shut out the whole truth (Richard Nixon) Spin me down the long ages, let them sing the song (Ronald Reagan) https://youtube/watch?v=M9JEPeeohYs How more obvious can the Republican base be? How could any woman, or man for that matter, with half a brain consider voting for anyone of their candidates? The party of “NO!” and let’s stop up the dam has unleashed the largest onslaught of vitriol against the working people of this country, the women of this country and the people of ‘alternative’ lifestyles. If you are a thinking person how would you even consider allowing these people to get voted into office. They represent corporations that sent your jobs overseas. They take money from ‘special interests’ to manifest their agendas. They demean people based on their religious standards that are taken from a complete misinterpretation of the Bible. This has gone too far. Stand up. Go out and elect ones who know what we are experiencing and is looking out for our best interests. Vote for the candidates, whether Democrats, Republicans or Independents that support you and NOT big business. Don’t allow a re-run of the Bush years where we lost almost everything we worked toward. Go to the library or research the Internet for the TRUTH and NOT simply believe the opinions of those who are out only for themselves and NOT you. You have the POWER! Talk to your friends, enlighten your families and flick that voting lever next November to move towards EQUALITY and NOT move backwards to the ‘concepts’ of our Founding Fathers. After all, they owned slaves and women were chattel. ~Dean A. Banks, D.D.
