Congratulations and THANK YOU, to Nu Star volunteers! In 2014, Nu Star staff members volunteered & sorted the MOST products of any other corporate or small group! They sorted a record total of 76,853 pounds of food this past year, exceeding last years total by almost 2,000 pounds! According to Feeding America this provided enough food for 64,044 meals. That is TRULY remarkable!!! Thank you for your kindness & commitment to help fight hunger in Galveston County! If your small group or company or family would like to volunteer for a Super Sorting Saturday, email Jeff Gordon at [email protected]. Spots are filling up fast and groups can volunteer either once per month or once per quarter. Commitments are Saturday morning from 9 a.m.-noon & some weekday, day time spots are available.
