Congratulations to Former Deputy Marshal Jake Quick on his Promotion with the Indiana State Police. Jake has been Promoted to a Detective and Transferred to the Criminal Investigation Command. Press Release Below Two ISP Troopers With Steuben Ties Promoted Tuesday Jul 22, 2014 12:24pm By: Jim Measel (FORT WAYNE) - Two Indiana State Police Troopers from the Fort Wayne post with ties to Steuben County have been promoted. 32-year-old Trooper Matthew J. Lazoff has been promoted to Corporal and will assume the duties as a District Duty Officer for the Fort Wayne Post as a first line supervisor. Lazoff transferred to Fort Wayne in July of 2012 where he has patrolled DeKalb, LaGrange and Steuben Counties. In 2011, he was awarded the Department’s Meritorious Service Award for his efforts as the Trooper with the most OWI arrests from the Toll Road Post. Lazoff, his wife and two children are residents of rural Hudson. 32-year-old Trooper Jacob J. Quick has been promoted to Detective and transferred to the Criminal Investigation Command where he will assume investigative duties at the Fort Wayne Post. Quick served as a Deputy Marshal in Hudson from 2003 to 2006 before being accepted to the 66th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy. He was assigned to the Toll Road Post in November of 2006 where he was responsible for patrol duties in LaGrange and Steuben Counties. Quick was transferred to Fort Wayne in 2009 and has patrolled in Allen, LaGrange, Noble and Steuben Counties. Quick is married with two children and they are residents of rural Leo.
