Congratulations to Grant Walton and Isaiah Barron for their award - TopicsExpress

Congratulations to Grant Walton and Isaiah Barron for their award for Best Screenplay at the festival. (Im going to make sure that Grant gets his very own trophy.) The voting was very close for every other category we were entered into. We were one vote from tying with BEST OF COLLEGE. For those who were there and confused about the awards: HATED was not part of the junior high and high school division in the category of Best Picture. Because of the ages of our Director, Editor, and Sound we were bumped into the College Division. Im NOT sorry about that. I love what Jean-Luc, Tessa, and Jadon did to boost the quality of this film. It isnt winning that is most important. It is being WORTHY of winning. And we were more than worthy. What a GREAT movie. The audience response to the film was exciting to hear and feel as I sat in the back-middle among people not associated with the production. It did everything a God-honoring movie is supposed to do: it entertained and enlightened! In four to six weeks we will have a big party with all the cast, crew, families, and supporters to watch a fifteen minute version of the movie. Some great lines and actions will be returned to the movie and that will make it even richer. Tessa Benders ten minute edit was superb! But I think youll enjoy a couple of scenes in particular that will be fleshed out --- just a couple. Thanks to EVERYONE who was there tonight! Your encouragement to your fellow filmmakers (or to your children) makes things much more fun! WHAT A HUGE CROWD THIS YEAR! In the meantime, enjoy the ten minute version on Vimeo at the link below. I apologize for the glitch at the end with the missing fade out. But I think youll enjoy it anyway. (And the original script and movie didnt have an exclamation point.) https://vimeo/86945625
