Congratulations to Jamie Depport, Sean Baxendale, and Beth Jones on grading to 1st Dan. Its a massive individual achievement to be awarded 1st Dan in the Jitsu Foundation, each candidate must be a club instructor who has successfully taught students. And then on top of those responsibilities, they must increase their training and develop there skill at tough brown and dan courses. So well done all new 1st Dans from the North Best (we are claiming Beth as ours). Congratulations to Jas Bhachu who gave a fantastic performance to achieve 2nd Dan in The Jitsu Foundation. And 2nd Dan in our style is massive! In many ways he (and Steve Chappers the year before) have raised the bar, together since their first dans they have virtually trained constantly. They are almost full time Jitsuka. Jas has had a tough journey, but did he made it on HIS own merits. This will allow him to develop further into a great instructor. None of this would have happened in an empty dojo, so thank you for all those who have trained at the North Best Saturday Session and Brown and Dans. Thank you to those that felt like cannon fodder (you were), but that will be paid back by others being there for you to train with when you go on to grade for blue/brown/dan. Richard Goulding
