Congratulations to Richard Monks, a former student on the MA in Creative Writing, whose play Kidnap (which he worked on as part of his MA) was the Drama of the Week for the week commencing 3rd June 2013 on BBC Radio 4. Kidnap looks at the kidnapping of an aid worker from five different viewpoints: the hostage, a captor, the hostage negotiator, a soldier on a rescue mission and her daughter. As the story unfolds, listeners discover that all of the characters are trapped by events in their own lives.
