Congratulations to all of you posting comments like Just shake it off Hes a coward Everyone has issues Hes just selfish. You just let all of your friends and loved ones know that you are not the one to reach out to when they are suffering from depression. Depression is a serious mental illness. It is not just someone thats sad about day to day life or issues. It has no triggers and comes on without any warning. Your are pulled to the darkest depths of your mind that you never knew existed. The is no glimmer of hope only severe mental torture. Many who suffer including my self would take the absolute worst physical pain over mental pain any day. People who suffer from depression often see themselves as a burden to the people around them and dont want to be a bother. So when someone contemplates suicide when suffering from depression not only seek relief for themselves but also for those around them. You cannot talk someone out of depression. They cant just shake it off and think positive. If you know someone who suffers from depression just be there, hold them, and listen. Please if any of you suffer from depression and need someone to listen please dont be afraid to reach out. Im here.
