Congratulations to all the players, coaches, parents, and referees for completing the 2014 Fall season! We began the season in August with a pre-season tournament and most teams finished today. Always such a blessing to witness the talent level, physical and mental growth, and maturity of the players at the beginning of a season and see how far they advance through October. This can be seen when you hear positive communication on the field between players and opponents, and on the sidelines when you watch the players and coaches shake hands after the game. We have strong beliefs regarding the environment we are fostering, and good sportsmanship is high on that list. Creating a fun environment where players can come and enjoy themselves is crucial to our 16 years of success! We have a 50% rule, where each player is to play half of each game. We make decisions based on what is best for the players. We work closely with the referees and coaches to help meet these objectives. With this being said, the recreational aspect of CRYSA is important and everyone involved plays a huge role. Some of the success of CRYSA is witnessed when we see the players advance to a higher level of play. We have outstanding players participating in travel teams, our County-Wide teams have much success, and our high school teams (both boys and girls) are tremendously competitive! We know that if a player loves the game, they can go on to earn a higher education through scholarships. We have been honored to see 20+ athletes from CRYSA, CCHS, and SMHS advance to the college level over the last 16 years! Amazing what this game can do in a childs life!
