Congratulations to the Fairfield Middle School Honor Choir, the Honor Orchestra, the 7th Grade Jazz Ensemble, the 8th Grade Jazz Ensemble, and the Middle School Select Band for their outstanding performances at the Kings Island Music Showcase Festival this past weekend. All groups earned the highest possible rating of Superior. They also won first place in their class. In addition, the 8th Grade Jazz Ensemble won the trophy for the highest overall score for any instrumental ensemble for any class in junior high. The Honor Orchestra won the award for Outstanding Violin Section. The 7th Grade Jazz Ensemble won the award for Outstanding Brass Section. The 8th Grade Jazz Ensemble won the award for Outstanding Rhythm Section and Outstanding Saxophone Section. Also Linus Fraley, Andrew Rooney, D.J. McFarland, Maddie Hensler, Michael Hofstetter, and Billy Balfour received individual awards for outstanding solos.
