Congratulations to the Raider Boy’s Track Team who competed in Lubbock this past weekend in the Region 1-5A Track & Field Championships. • Maurice Gordon finished 2nd place in the 200 meter dash and will be advancing to State with the 3rd fastest time run in class 5A this past weekend. His time of 21.22 also broke Aaron Scott’s school record in the event. • The 800 meter Relay team of Terell Cross, Paul Hunter, Maurice Gordon, and Cameron Williams will also be advancing to the State Championships by running a 1:25.95. That time is the fastest time run in school history other than the 2011 State Champion 800m relay team. • The Sprint Relay team of Maurice Gordon, Jordan Murray, Paul Hunter, and Cameron Williams finished in 4th place. • The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Terell Cross, Paul Hunter, AJ George, and Cameron Williams ran the 6th fastest 5A time in the State this weekend. Despite that, they just missed out on advancing to State due to the strength of our Region. • Junior Ryan Womack also had a great showing by pole vaulting 14 foot 6 inches and finished 5th in the Region. #GoRaiders #HomeOfChampions #OnToState
