Congratulations to the Varsity Football team for defeating district opponent Oviedo Friday night 40-35. It was a great game played by the Cougars to overtake the Lions and keep the playoff run alive. Swimming saw 2 new school records set in the 200 free. Freshman Reilly Maquire set a school record with a time of 1:56.23 and Senior Deanna Harrison broke her own school record with a new time of 2:05.92. Swimming will compete against Lake Howell this week Thursday at Lyman pool. Girls Volleyball lost two tough matches last week against Timber Creek and Boone, but the young team continues to show much improvement. They play at home this week against West Orange and Cypress Creek. Freshman Football defeated Lake Nona last week, while the JV team suffered their first loss in a close game. Both teams play their last home game on Thursday against Colonial. Winter sports are also getting ready to begin, with Girls Soccer starting practices this week.
