Congregations The unique role of religious congregations is another area where STW works closely with partners. The focus of our collaborations here is around strengthening the ability of congregations to serve as communities that encourage and equip their members as they seek to more fully integrate the values and beliefs of their religious tradition with their day-to-day responsibilities within the organizations where they serve and lead. Here our primary partners include UCC Norwell and Luminos. 1) UCC Norwell UCC Norwell is a United Church of Christ congregation on the south shore of Massachusetts with a long tradition of innovation around calling and equipping its members to live out their deepest convictions in every aspect of their lives and work. Central to this effort is their Gifts and Call program that works with men and women around the identification of their dependable strengths and discovery of their life purpose. They also have a program of visiting with their members in their workplaces to explore the connections between their beliefs and the challenges and responsibilities that are part of their working lives. Our partnership with UCC Norwell is focused on the development of circles of support where men and women who lead organizations can accompany one another around the journey of connecting their values and beliefs to the decisions they face in these settings. To learn more about UCC Norwell, visit them at uccnorwell.org. 2) Lumunos Lumunos (formerly Faith@Work) is a New Hampshire-based organization which provides educational resources and programming designed to support people in the exploration of their unique gifts and “calling” amidst the complexity of their daily lives and work. STW’s partnership with Lumunos has focused on strengthening the ability of congregations to serve as communities that encourage and equip their members as they seek to more fully integrate the values and beliefs of their religious tradition with their day-to-day responsibilities within the organizations where they serve and lead.
