Congress to form Govt. in Haryana a third time -Bhupinder Singh Hooda, CM. Really? As Bhupi Bhayee becomes apprehensive about support, which is already on decline and new political alliances are formed and floor crossings becomes ever more apparent and suggestive of vested interests, he struggle to save this last bastion of his party in the country. Political future of parties has ever kept changing and the people forced them to play sea-saw. However, in this age of high tech communication, it sounds foolish to gather huge crowds ( I have preferred calling these gatherings of people, constituting mainly semi-literate or illiterate persons from Haryana, having rural background) and deploy the official machinery of the State by the ruling party or alliance to assist them in organizing rallies to enable them to address directly. This is no show of strength or popularity but rather populist measures, which have seldom worked to the advantage of the common man. The trouble that has often turned into prolonged travails for the usual traffic movement in the state has caused loss of various kinds and innumerable times. Most households in the State have TV and Radio sets and most political parties have either their own TV Channels of sympathizer channels that can be used to approach people instead of making them physically move over great distances causing traffic jams and at great expenditure. Who knows that the bills are ever paid because the supporters and sympathizers push in their resources -both men and material, to make the rally a success. It looks that Bhupi is on her last fight on the front, which after his political will either be unbeatable or sink to abysmal depths. But he has ensured enough comfort for him to live happily ever after on the strenght of his great wealth about which it is often alleged that it gathered through illegal on unapproved means as was the case with Bhajan Lal and the Chautalas. Nobody has ever asked about the fountainhead from which the Chautalas got so much money as could enable them to open a private university Chaudhry Devi Lal Vidyapeeth, with large campus at Sirsa.
