ConneXion Research is one of the sponsors to an event on Tuesday, September 30th, 2014 from 10-noon. It will be an educational outreach in observance of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer. Ovarcome will be hosting a Genetic Counseling Conference chaired by their board member, Dr. Nick Alpha. Also, they will be offering free genetic counseling and testing to a few qualified women in partnership with Myriad Genetics. We are looking for 16 suitable, at risk candidates who have lost a mother/grandmother to breast or ovarian cancer. We wanted to first extend the offer to employees’ families and friends. Then, we will post at churches and on FB to offer to our participants. Breakfast and beverages will be provided. Once the 16 spots are filled, interested attendees could purchase tickets at $10-$15 to raise funds for genetic counseling sponsorships. If you have a large party, we could do 1o seats for $250.
