Consider this: Both men and women, both believers and unbelievers, - TopicsExpress

Consider this: Both men and women, both believers and unbelievers, will stand before the Lord in judgment. For the unbelieving ones, the verdict will be something the believers expect shall happen. Jesus made it easy for anyone to predict that, for He said: If you dont believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins (John 8:24). It would baffle us, it would be difficult for us to comprehend, no, it would not be easy for anyone to accept that there would be believers in hell, too. (1) There are believers who DONT trust the Lord ENOUGH. (2) There are believers who TRUST THEMSELVES ENOUGH. (3) There are believers who ARE REMISS in their obeying what the Master has wanted them to do, and never try to do well or do better. (4) There are believers who do what they THINK the Lord has wanted them to do. (5) There are believers who CRITICIZE their fellow believers for not doing what they THINK the Lord has wanted them to do. (6) There are believers who DO, and TRY, and FAIL, and are HUMBLE enough to admit their failures, but TRUST the Lord enough for GRACE. I hope you understand that when you see a throne, you will see only one Person sitting on that throne. All heads will bow before Him, all mouths will be silenced, all will be waiting for the verdict that comes from the lips of Him who judges rightly and fairly. I say that we should keep doing His will, and if we fail, we should keep trying. And we should admit too that where we fail, His grace does not. Stop being too cocksure about yourself, stop saying that your fellow Christians have not made it to the kingdom and that you have, stop saying that your doctrine has made it sure for you to be in heaven. You wont know, and you wont be sure. Stop looking at them with the eyes of a judge. Start looking at yourself with the eyes of one who is to face Him at the bar. Praying for myself and for you...
