Consider this: We all know that America is not a democracy but actually a Democratic Republic. Therefore, any Presidential win is not dependent upon the popular vote, as happened 4 times in history when the Electoral College vote was the deciding factor. I think it is extremely odd that after Bush 2, the Republicans ran 2 candidates which were not their best to beat Obama. Seriously, McCain and Mitt? Mitt didnt even want to run! It is almost as if it was needed for Obama to win the elections in order to create the illusion that the Democrats had won both of his terms. Its almost as if the fix was in that Obama had been chosen by those who REALLY run our country, for some nebulous reason. His desires for legislation which would help the poor and middle class have been constantly thwarted by the conservatives. Its as if our country has been put into a 8 year period of suspension. What was the reason for this? What has our government been wanting to take our attention and focus away from ? Any ideas?
