Considering mainstream news can only keep the publics attention on a story for so long, the Ebola outbreak/possible American exposure has been set on the backburner in favor of possible martial law in Ferguson, Missouri. I have friends nearby who say the violence has been contained but Ive noticed in the past 72 hours all manner of things. What seems most prevalent is: -the youth in question who was shot had just prior robbed a store -the kkk is raising money for the officer involved -the violence and rioting was useless -the news has not been covering any peaceful protesting and as such made the situation look similar to LA, circa 1992. -militarized police have flooded in -the us vs them battle has gone from the death of a not-so-innocent youth to congressmen saying we should demilitarize the police (not a bad idea, btw) -anonymous has gotten involved supposedly -supposedly, there are folks threatening to purge the city of Louisville, Kentucky in reponse to the mess in Ferguson, not unlike the movie series The purge Stay safe everyone. Use historical incidents such as this to understand just how close we are to the edge. Use it to better your readiness for such an event so that you wont be left worrying about what to do if/when it actually happens.
