Consult went great! We are definitely on information overload as there are many options to choose from. The best news is that we are now officially in the process of figuring out if Scarlette is a candidate for CI! Over the course of the next three months Scarlette will have a series of 10 appointments: 6 hearing tests, a speech eval, psych eval, ent consult, and final consult. After all these appointments we will find out if the doctors are confident in moving forward with CI and then we will make the final decision. If everything goes smoothly and the green light is given Scarlette will be getting the implant in March/April timeframe. The audiologist is also going to be testing Scarlettes hearing aid to determine whether or not she needs a stronger hearing aid for her left ear, which will make her biological hearing in that ear much stronger. Thank you all so much for your prayers, support and encouragement! We are very excited by this news despite the long road ahead of us! Continued prayer that we get all the info we need during these appointments from a cooperative Scarlette is much appreciated! :0)
