Contract Lawyer - India Job Location: Gurgaon, India Requirements: Immediately Experience: Minimum 10 to 12 years Education: Bachelors degree in law from reputed institution in a civil or common law jurisdiction, preferably post-graduation in law from a reputed institution Preferred Gender: Male • Significant hands-on experience in cross-border project contracts such as EPC, Turnkey and Design build, preferably in power industry • Experience in tendering process preferred • Familiar with FIDIC (International Federation of Consulting Engineers and ADB (Asian Development Bank), World Bank, KFW etc. • Basic knowledge of international taxation requirements preferred • Shall exhibit exemplary commercial and business acumen • Shall be willing to undertake travel to jurisdictions such as Afghanistan (Travel requirements will be very minimal), MENA region and etc. • Shall be able to hit the ground running and work in an extremely demanding but stimulating atmosphere • Shall be a team player with the ability to productively manage internal stakeholders such as technical, tendering, finance and HR teams. Nationality: Indian Language: English Salary Maximum: IRS. 10,80,000/- per year Interviewed: Required Job Description: The position will discharge the responsibilities of a Contract Lawyer and would be solely accountable for managing entire gamut of legal affairs of the group consisting of all group entities spread across ME, US and Afghanistan. The position would functionally report to the President & CEO of the group and administratively to the Director- Projects & Technical. The position would discharge a client interfacing role demanding close coordination with internal stakeholders such as Technical, Finance and Tendering team • End to end legal support for projects right from tendering to project completion and establishing a legal organization for the group • Drafting, negotiation and execution of complex cross- border project contracts including EPC contracts, Turnkey contracts and Design Build contracts primarily in the sphere of power generation, transmission & distribution and construction of sub-stations • Contracts management including timely issuance of notices, RFI’s, replies so as to ensure compliance with contract milestones and avoidance of LD’s • Critically reviewing RFP/IFB/NIT documents and ensuring compliance with legal & commercial requirements while submitting offer/bids • Advising legal & commercial deviations while tendering/bid submission • Drafting, negotiation and execution of ancillary documents including cross-border JV agreements, Consortium agreements, LOL, POA, Teaming agreements, Bank guarantees, Bonds, back to back Sub contracts and Purchase Orders • Mapping and Mitigation of legal & commercial risks • Strategic business advisory on day to day business affairs ranging from employment to governance issues Interested candidates send your resume in word file (include phone numbers, skype ID, Email) and all work experience, trainings/degree certificates– Email: Jak.Arious5@gmail Note: Must write position title and applying country name on the subject box while sending email to us.
